Lendio
Current marketplaceLendio is a marketplace that sends one application across a network of potential financing providers. It can broaden the search, but every returned offer still needs an individual cost and lender check.
Can these two still be compared directly?
Not as the original page presented them. At least one side is a historical brand, marketplace, consumer-focused provider or product outside the current direct-lender desk. A numerical winner based on old limits or rates would mislead the reader.
A company name is not a financing structure. One side may collect one application for a provider network while the other funds a term loan directly. Another brand may now focus on consumers. Those pairs can be compared for role and current status, but not through a made-up rate table.
What changed since the old comparison
Online business finance has moved through acquisitions, bank partnerships and product closures. Funding Circle's US operation, for example, was acquired by iBusiness Funding. Kabbage no longer operates as the standalone business-funding brand described by older reviews. A comparison frozen in its original year can preserve two familiar logos while losing both products underneath them.
That is why this page does not reproduce an old maximum, minimum score or approval time. Current figures need a current primary source and a legal provider that can still be identified. Where one side has a current review, the sidebar links to it. The other side stays marked with its 2026 status.
Use product structure, not brand recognition
Start by naming the business need: one defined purchase, repeat working capital, equipment, invoices, property or an acquisition. Then identify whether each result is a loan, revolving line, lease or sale of receivables. A lender and a marketplace do different jobs, even when both use the word loan in an advertisement.
Price a live offer from either company
Ask for net cash, total obligation, payment count, payment dates and every fee. If the provider uses a factor, estimate annualized cost over the expected term. If it uses a variable rate, record the base rate and margin. For a lease, add the buyout or return cost. This puts unlike offers on a workable dollar and time frame.
Next, read the personal guarantee, UCC, collateral, early-payment and default clauses. A lower payment can come from a longer term, and a lower stated rate can sit beside a larger origination fee. The written agreement wins every argument with a comparison page.
A better 2026 shortlist
If LendingTree or Lendio no longer offers the required product, replace the brand rather than forcing the old match-up. Compare at least one bank or credit union where time allows, one current online provider and the relevant SBA or asset-backed route. A business does not owe loyalty to a search result from several years ago.
The final test is cash flow. Run the proposed payment through the weakest recent month while keeping payroll, tax and existing debt intact. The winner is not the company with the largest published ceiling. It is the affordable contract that fits the repayment source and leaves the business room to operate.
Save the disclosures used for the decision. Product pages and partner relationships can change, while the signed obligation stays with the business. A dated copy also makes it easier to question a fee or payment that does not match what was presented before acceptance.
Move from an old brand match-up to verified 2026 profiles.
